Life at a concrete plant…

The role is responsible, challenging, and highly varied, where no two days are alike.

Mixing concrete is a craft where, over time, you develop an attractive feel for the right quality. If you don't already have it, we will teach you.

The work involves a lot of customer contact, sampling, quality and occupational health and safety issues, maintenance and cleaning of the plant, operating wheel loaders, and much more. You will also have the opportunity to meet customers and visit construction sites where you can see where the concrete goes.

In Skövde, two people normally work on the operation of the plant, and we also have colleagues working in sales, sampling, as concrete truck drivers, and pump operators. We primarily work during the day, from 06:30 to 15:30, but hours may vary depending on customer projects and concrete deliveries. Sometimes we work in the afternoons and evenings, which we plan together as a team. We need to be flexible, but we also offer flexibility when life demands it – as long as we ensure good service to our customers.

Skövde is one of eight plants in the area that collaborate closely to provide the best possible customer service. This means that you will sometimes also work at nearby plants in the area, particularly in Mariestad, Falköping, and Arentorp, with which we have an extra close collaboration. Occasionally, there may be trips to customer projects for sampling.

• Taking care of and maintaining our plant is part of the assignment, so it is good if you are practical and like the idea of contributing to our maintenance work.
• If you have experience from the construction industry, another industry, or even concrete production, it is an asset, but we are primarily looking for our next team player. We are good at concrete production and also good at teaching it!
• An interest in and preferably experience of quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety issues is considered an asset, as it is a natural part of our daily routine.
